FARE & Ashley’s Hope for Allergy Awareness Benefit
August 29, 2018Food allergies are a growing epidemic, affecting more than 15 million people nationwide. The Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) foundation’s mission is to educate all individuals on food allergies. This foundation also strives to bring Life, Health and Hope to those living with food allergies.
Every year for the past 7 years the Frangella family hosts an Allergy Awareness Benefit in memory of their daughter Ashley. Ashley Frangella’s life was cut short due to a fatal food related allergic reaction. During this benefit loved ones come together to celebrate the life of their beloved Ashley and raise money for FARE. The goal of this benefit is to spread awareness of the severity of food allergies.
Members of the Harbor Seafood team take the time to attend this beautifully organized event each year. By working together, the Frangella family, Harbor Seafood and FARE hope someday anaphylaxis shock will no longer be a threat to those living with food allergies everyday.
