Ingredients

Mahi Mahi

  • 4 Oyster Bay Mahi Mahi Fillets (4 oz. each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Seasoning Blend

  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Lemon Garlic Sauce

  • 3 tbsp shallots, finely chopped
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1¼ cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, or to taste
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Combine the seasonings and coat the Oyster Bay Mahi Mahi fillets evenly.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the fillets for 4 to 6 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the shallots until softened. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the broth, cream, cornstarch, lemon juice, and herbs. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  5. Return the mahi mahi to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the fillets. Garnish with fresh chives and serve immediately with your favorite side.
