Mahi Mahi Fish in Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce
Ingredients
Mahi Mahi
- 4 Oyster Bay Mahi Mahi Fillets (4 oz. each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
Seasoning Blend
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Lemon Garlic Sauce
- 3 tbsp shallots, finely chopped
- 3 to 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1¼ cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, or to taste
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
- Combine the seasonings and coat the Oyster Bay Mahi Mahi fillets evenly.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the fillets for 4 to 6 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the shallots until softened. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Stir in the broth, cream, cornstarch, lemon juice, and herbs. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Return the mahi mahi to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the fillets. Garnish with fresh chives and serve immediately with your favorite side.
