SudMaris is a privately owned company focused on the farming, processing and export of Chilean Blue Mussels. Their main objective is to provide customers with quality products through strict quality controls at every phase of the process to ensure complete traceability.

SudMaris’ cultivation centers are located in the communes of Castro, Dalcahue and Quinchao on the Island of Chiloé, all of which are characterized by the purity and excellent condition of their waters. The high quality water conditions contributes to the exceptional performance for the product grown there. These centers use a method called “Long Line Cultivation” which allows the mussels to grow vertical on ropes to optimize space, while also using the most advanced techniques aimed to maximizing crop efficiency and minimizing the impact on the environment, which is controlled by the constant analyses that certify the purity of the waters.

The strength of their commitment to quality is represented by the certifications they have in place, which includes BRC Global Standards, Organic, Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC).  Harbor Seafood is proud to partner with SudMaris and serve as their official sales arm in the United States.

SudMaris works hard to ensure they are only raising, cultivating and producing high quality product through close attention to detail every step of the way. For more information about SudMaris, you can also visit
